Welcome to the Morris Laboratory!

Our laboratory investigates the function of proteins involved in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, with a focus on the microtubule-associated protein tau. We study the role of tau in normal biology, aging, and dementia with the goal of better understanding the basic mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

Postdoctoral Fellowship Available

A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Dr. Meaghan Morris to study molecular mechanisms of aging and neurodegenerative disease, with a focus on the microtubule-associated protein tau. The project will involve a variety of approaches, studying cell culture models and human tissue using biochemical and imaging techniques to elucidate the role of tau in neuronal function, aging, and Alzheimer’s disease. Interested individuals should send a curriculum vitae, a cover letter with research interests and accomplishments, and the names and email addresses of 2-3 references to momalle2@jhmi.edu.
