Our laboratory investigates the function of proteins involved in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, with a focus on the microtubule-associated protein tau. We study the role of tau in normal biology, aging, and dementia with the goal of better understanding the basic mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
