Conclusion

The aim of the SPORE investigators is to expand ongoing research and to initiate new projects that can be translated into clinical application within the 5 years of this program. This will result in a consolidation of scientific and clinical resources at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions to better diagnose and treat patients with cervical cancer. The SPORE program will thereby provide the infrastructure to combine all the different aspects of our research program at the basic and clinical level in order to control cervical cancer through advances in prevention and therapy.
