The Wood Laboratory is located in the Department of Pathology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Our goal is to characterize the molecular alterations that underlie multi-step tumorigenesis, with a particular focus on those alterations that mediate clinically relevant transitions. Much of our work focuses on pancreatic cancer, though we study a variety of gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary neoplasms in our work to understand how a cell becomes malignant.
