Avi Z Rosenberg, M.D., Ph.D.Dr. Avi Z. Rosenberg is a fellowship-trained renal/pediatric pathologist with PhD-level training as a Cell Biologist. In addition to his clinical service (reviewing over 600 biopsies/year), he runs a renal pathobiology lab studying the fundamental mechanisms of primary and adaptive forms of kidney injury, building on collaborative work exploring mechanisms of podocyte injury. The Renal Pathobiology group includes a research specialist, 4 post-doctoral fellows (2 shared with Halushka Lab) and 2 shared graduated students (Halushka Lab). Weekly try-lab data sessions for in-depth feedback and constructive criticism are also held.

Parnaz Daneshpajouhnejad, M.D.Parnaz Daneshpajouhnejad, M.D. received her medical degree from Iran, and joined Rosenberg lab in 2018. With her clinical background and her enthusiasm towards research activities, she grew interest in digging the basis of pathobiological causes of renal disorders. She is currently involved in studies focused on evaluation podocyte function and structure in both mice and human models, to assess the effects of obesity, diabetes, and aging on kidney diseases and potential interventions. |
