Daniel is an MD-PhD student in the Human Genetics Program at JHU since 2012 after earning a joint BS in Cell and Molecular Biology and German Studies at Duke University. He joined the Burns Lab in 2014 and is currently focusing on mechanisms of L1 toxicity. His hobbies include playing soccer and piano, weight lifting, reading, and cultivating his palate for beer and scotch.
Jane is a PhD student in the Human Genetics Program at JHU since 2011 after earning a BS in Genetics at Clemson University. She joined the Burns and Wheelan Labs in 2012 and is focused on epigenetic regulation of retrotransposons in human cancers. Her hobbies include caring for her dog, baking, crafting, reading and watching TV.
Wan Rou Yang
Wan Rou is an MD-PhD student in the Pathobiology Graduate Program at JHU since 2009 after earning a BS in Neurobiology and Biochemistry from the University of Washington. She joined the Burns and Levitsky Labs in 2011 and is currently studying translation of transposable elements in cancer. Outside of the lab she enjoys rock climbing, travel, photography, and target shooting.
